![]() SafetyTMC is proud to be a leader in safety. Our team of professionals are committed to ensuring safety is the number one consideration in every aspect of delivering your freight. We know how important it is to keep our drivers and the motoring public safe, and that is why we utilize state-of-the-art safety equipment like VORAD, a detection and collision avoidance system. We believe it is our responsibility to hire only the safest drivers to put behind the wheel. Before our drivers deliver their first load, they are required to undergo a thorough seven-week training program to ensure they meet TMC and D.O.T. standards. Our extensive training program includes two weeks of orientation, which covers safety and load securement techniques, and five weeks of on-the-job training with an experienced TMC driver trainer. At TMC, learning is a continuous process, and that is why we offer our drivers additional educational opportunities. Through our Road Scholar program, drivers can increase their awareness and their pay by taking refresher courses on all aspects of the job. Included in the Road Scholar program is driver Total Quality Management (TQM). This class is offered once a month and focuses on driver efficiency and safety. Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA) has and will continue to impact not only our company but every company out there in how they operate. CSA focuses on all aspects of how the truck is operated and is the score card the FMCSA utilizes to monitor a carrier's Safety Fitness. Knowledge of CSA is paramount to maintaining and improving scores in all categories. Training is ongoing and drivers’ scores are reviewed every month. In addition, all of our drivers complete CSA training and have access to their scores anytime from our driver intranet site. We are firm in our belief that emphasis on CSA and the sharing of information is what enables us to maintain good scores in all Basics.
