Message from the EVP
This year it's especially easy to get bogged down with the negative. Yes, the economy isn't great, but there are a lot of great things still happening. I am reminded of this often when we receive comments from customers about how one of our drivers went above and beyond or how vital one of our customer service representative is to making things run smoothly. (Read some of these in our Heard from the Road section.) TMC drivers and employees do great things every day. Like the driver who takes time out of his day to help a driver from another company tarp a load because it's the right thing to do. Or the fleet manager who stays late to make sure his driver has the right directions. I observe these little acts of kindness and professionalism every day. Other things to feel good about are the efforts our drivers have taken to get their TWIC cards and passports. Having drivers with these tools allows us to serve our customers better. We know that finding time to apply for TWIC or go into the passport office is hard. So we commend these drivers for taking the initiative. To make this process easier TMC has hosted several TWIC enrollment and application weekends in Des Moines, where TWIC reps have been on hand to process applications. I just want to say thank you to our drivers and support staff who work hard each day to provide our customers with the best service in the business. They set TMC apart by the little things they do. |
