Help for the Holidays

Imagine the holidays without the items that so many us take for granted such as a warm dinner with your family, new clothes or toys for your children. More than ever, individuals and families are struggling with having barely enough to survive during the holiday season and this year is no exception.
Each year TMC holds a holiday fundraiser in support of charities within our local communities. This year, TMC employees raised more than $4,500. In addition, they donated much needed clothing, food and meals.
Their outstanding showing of generosity is especially appreciated during these tough economic times, when giving is so very important.TMC was proud to support the four charities listed below.
Des Moines, IA
The Eddie Davis Community Center, located near Valley Junction in West Des Moines, was incorporated in 1991 and has been helping people in central Iowa ever since. The center is 100% staffed and funded by private donations. The center is not funded by government agencies nor does it discriminate on who it can help. Any person or family can come to the center for assistance at any time, no questions asked.
Indianapolis, IN
Children's Bureau, Inc. is a private, nonprofit child and family services agency. Children's Bureau offers all services without regard to race, religion, nationality, economic status, sex or handicap. Children's Bureau has been in operation for over 150 years and offers extensive services to children and families, including adoption, foster care, counseling, shelter facilities, food pantries and more.
Gaston, SC
St. Lawrence Place is here to help address the challenge of homelessness, a station in life that is all too prevalent among us. They provide a place of transitional housing, but more importantly, an avenue for hope, healing and change for the families who choose to enter the program.
Joplin, MO
Children's Haven provides a safe, secure, home-like environment for children while their families seek the help they need. Through the services we provide, we work to protect children, prevent child abuse and neglect, reduce family stress, and keep families together.
