New Facebook Group Supports the Home Team
Last week TMC’s new Social Media and Special Projects team rolled out a new support group for the significant others of TMC drivers.
The TMC Home Team Facebook page was established to serve as a common ground for spouses, partners and significant others of all of our hard-working drivers. The page is a closed group accessible by invite and/or request only, and is moderated by Stacey Sickmiller, Social Media Marketing Manager, Justyn Sharp, Public Relations Coordinator, Lisa Hetzler, Driver Recruiter, and Jannelle Kennedy, Safety Assistant.
Group members are able to socialize, ask questions, relay feedback and offer tips and advice about having a loved one over the road. Similarly, the moderators allow insight into company events and information that has been made available to drivers via Driver Connection, a TMC driver-specific site in which the spouse of a driver must obtain his/her username and password to gain access. The TMC Home Team page is different in that it allows spouses and significant others to create their own identity and interact with others through the ease of their own Facebook profile.
At TMC, communication is key in developing positive relationships between the company and the families of our drivers that make sacrifices to allow their loved ones to stay on the road. We’re proud to be able to call our team a family and provide facets of support to those who support TMC.
