TMC Transportation Receives 2023 Military Friendly Designations

Despite the appreciation we proclaim for our military service men and women, often they can feel lost in the shuffle of moving from their military careers into civilian jobs. Without an intentional focus by companies to address their unique concerns, the career search is a potential burden, unintentionally ignored by their civilian counterparts. But many of the skills learned and values practiced while in the military add significant value to the workforce. TMC is honored to work with these outstanding veterans. Over 36% of TMC employees have served or are currently serving our country in the U.S. Military. TMC has long recognized the exceptional advantage of hiring veterans and is privileged to have them in its fleet and across the organization.

TMC is proud to receive the 2023 Top Ten Military Friendly® Employer designation presented by Viqtory Media. TMC has been selected each year since 2017 for this recognition. An additional distinction given to TMC is the Top Ten Military Spouse Friendly® Employer award.

Companies are identified as being friendly to the military community by standardized criteria by a Military Friendly® Advisory Council, such as retention rate, and commitment of the company to offer sustainable opportunities to veterans. Among the supportive actions TMC takes for employee veterans, is the option to enroll in an Apprenticeship program that is approved for the GI Bill®.
