Paul Myers, Driver of the 4th Quarter 2020

TMC is thrilled to announce that our Driver of the 4th Quarter is Paul Myers! Paul has been in the trucking industry for the last 25 years, and we are grateful that the entire time has been with us at TMC. With the fear of losing his previous job and looking for anything that didn’t involve a computer, he realized that driving a truck was very attractive to him.

The Pennsylvania native enjoys driving a black and chrome Peterbilt. Paul shares that traveling the open road offers a certain kind of peacefulness that is common to truck drivers. The freedom he feels in working without someone constantly telling him what to do is one of the things he enjoys most.  Paul thinks it’s important for new drivers to just take it one day at a time. Every day won’t work out perfectly and that is okay. He appreciates that there are so many drivers at TMC, and in the industry, willing to help other drivers with challenges. The distinctive camaraderie found among drivers is a pleasant characteristic of the trucking world.

Myers' Fleet Manager, Brent Smith, had this to say, “When I heard the news on Friday, I was thrilled to learn Paul Myers had been named Driver of the 4th Quarter in 2020. I feel it is a well-deserved honor for his many years of service to TMC. Paul has been with TMC for almost 25 years and I have had the pleasure to work with him for the last eight years on a Specialized Division. Paul and his wife, Theresa, have pretty much ridden together the entire time we have worked together and I know she is as proud of him as we all are here. Paul has worked hard over the years to perfect his craft, is very knowledgeable when it comes to securing all types of loads we haul, and has the support at home that’s allowed him to gain this recognition. Paul is a very valuable resource to this division and the company as a whole. Congratulations on being bestowed the honor of Driver of the 4th Quarter for TMC, Paul. What a great accomplishment!”

When Paul isn’t driving, he enjoys hunting and fishing. He is fond of just being out in the woods and plans to retire in a few years to spend time traveling and camping. If his approach to hunting and fishing is as outstanding as the way he works, he should be successful in that, too. Congratulations, Paul, on being named TMC’s Driver of the 4th Quarter for 2020.
