TMC at the Pole Vault Competition in Downtown Des Moines

World-class athletes pole vaulting in the streets? Just another day in downtown Des Moines!

The annual Drake Relays start this weekend in Des Moines, with athletes coming from all over the world to participate. The free to the public pole vault event has been held inside the Jordan Creek Mall in West Des Moines the last few years, but this year they decided to move it outdoors and hold it on downtown Court Avenue in Des Moines. TMC was more than happy to lend a hand to the festivities, and they used our trailer as a platform for the announcers. TMC yard instructor John Bradford and TMC local yard driver Jeremy Meyer helped set up the truck and trailer, and Jeremy was able to snap some great photos. Despite the heavy wind, the outdoor competition drew a big crowd, some of whom were catching the view from nearby parking garages.
