ISU Intern Logistics TMC Transportation Freight Supply Chain Industry July 30th is National Intern Day. TMC has a robust internship program in Ames, IA at Iowa State’s Research Park. At TMC, we value our interns and are grateful they chose us to learn more about the transportation industry. Interns in Ames are able to gain experience in a variety of fields including Logistics, Information Technology, Customer Service, and Operations. Cole Bickham is a Public Relations intern at the Corporate office In Des Moines, IA. He is currently an incoming senior at BYU majoring in Communications.

Cole accepted an internship with TMC because he wanted a chance to see what inside of a company is really like. “I knew that working as a Public Relations intern at TMC would give me a chance to be exposed to the various functions within a business.”

Cole has been working on a variety of projects in TMC's Public Relations Department. However, he says his favorite part about TMC has been learning about the trucking industry. “I’ve learned about so many intricacies of transportation that most people never even realize exist. It’s a different world, and it’s impressive.”ISU Research TMC Transportation Intern Logistics Trucking Industry Internships Near Me

In just a few short weeks, Cole will be traveling back to Utah. “The most memorable part of my experience here was when I rode in the truck for a few hours. Talking to the driver and seeing for a small moment the way he sees the world helped me to better understand this industry. I think that was when I really found a deep respect for truckers and everyone who supports them. Our country needs this industry and I’m proud to be a small piece of it.”

Thank you Cole and all the interns we have at TMC. We are very grateful you chose us to gain experience in your respective fields.ISU Internships Near Me Des Moines TMC Logistics Industry
