TMC Participates in Truck Convoy for Special Olympics of Iowa

TMC Drivers once again participated in the Truck Convoy for the Special Olympics of Iowa on Saturday. The event is one that many drivers are proud to promote each year to support the athletes. Some drivers had an athlete riding along and there were plenty of smiles to go around.

The convoy covers about 20 miles from Veteran's Parkway in Des Moines to the Iowa State Fairgrounds. There were 15 TMC trucks that joined with drivers from many other companies. $16,500 was raised for the organization through the event, which helps athletes continue to train in year-round sports training and competitions.

Stephen Cox from our Driver Training Department drove a TMC truck in the convoy, with his son, Will, who is a Special Olympic athlete. Will had a great time and loved seeing all the support for the Special Olympics of Iowa.
