A heart attack may leave someone with a damaged heart, increasing their risk of another heart attack, stroke, kidney disorders, etc. It is crucial to focus on physical activity and lifestyle changes in order to help reduce the risk of future health problems.

Some early signs and symptoms you may experience that would indicate a heart attack are: pain, pressure, tightness in the chest, nausea, heartburn or abdominal pain, shortness of breath, cold sweat, fatigue, and sudden dizziness/lightheadedness.

There are many heart attack risk factors including: men (age 45 or older) and (women age 55 or older), the use of tobacco or second-hand smoke, high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes, and more. Try to pay attention to your body every day and recognize any significant changes you may experience.

Just like most medical conditions, heart attack symptoms vary from person to person . One person may have severe recurring pain for days or weeks in advance, while someone else may not experience any symptoms at all. If you do experience a sudden change, seek medical help immediately.
