WELLNESS WEDNESDAY: Energy Drinks
Need a pick-me-up? Just grab an energy drink and you’ll be good to go, right?
TMC is urging you to think twice before consuming energy drinks. We understand that caffeine is oftentimes a necessity to get through the day, but there are healthier options available to help put a little pep in your step.
Energy drinks aren't JUST a super-strong dose of caffeine. They can also contain large doses of synthetic or artificial sugars, dyes, & other ingredients. An average can of Red Bull contains 27 grams of artificial sugar!
Possible side effects of drinking energy drinks include:

• Increased blood pressure
• May negatively affect kidney health
