NEW TO TRUCKING

Drivers who work for TMC must obtain a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A). Obtaining your CDL is a great investment, as this is an in-demand skill with great job stability. While TMC mostly hires recent graduates of truck driving schools that already have a Class A CDL, we also offer an in-house CDL training program for select applicants. Once a CDL has been obtained, the over-the-road training phase begins. Trainees are paid $500 per week for our five-week training period.

TMC currently has a demand for drivers in certain states that the local truck driving schools have been unable to meet. If you are a resident of one of these states you may qualify to attend TMC’s CDL-A training program for the purpose of obtaining employment at TMC only. The states we are currently seeking applicants from to attend our training program is as follows: Iowa, Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Ohio, Southern Wisconsin and Southern Minnesota. We also have limited opportunities for applicants residing in Western Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Jersey.

If you prefer attending a truck driving school locally, you can view a list of truck driving schools in your area with our CDL School Finder tool, or feel free to call us with questions at 800-247-2862 ext 3.
