TMC Recognized as National Carrier of the Year by Firestone

On February 12, 2020, Firestone awarded TMC as their 2019 National Carrier of the Year at their carrier conference in Nashville, TN. This is the first carrier conference that Firestone has held since 2010. TMC has done business with Firestone for over 30 years, and they are one of our most significant customers.

The criteria for this distinction require that carriers haul freight out of four or more plants, and also considers multiple KPI’s such as on-time delivery, percentage, claim frequency, and invoice accuracy.

The award was presented to TMC’s Joe Brannen, VP of National Accounts, by Firestone representatives Taylor Cole, President; Keri Cooper, Corporate Transportation Manager; and Hank Roedell, Transportation Manager.

Keri Cooper had this to say: “Firestone Building Products values our relationship with TMC Transportation, which has developed over the last three decades, and we are thrilled to be able to recognize them with the 2019 National Carrier of the Year award. TMC partners with us at nine of our facilities and their drivers are the face of Firestone to our customers. We are grateful for the exemplary services that they provide and look forward to a lasting partnership.”

TMC hauls out of Firestone plants across the country, including: Connecticut, Florida, Indiana, South Carolina, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and Texas. Loads include anything from asphalt rolls, ISO foam boards, EPDM rubber, and more.
