Are You Ready for Driver Appreciation Week?

This is one of the most important weeks of the year at TMC: Driver Appreciation Week.  

For 35 years, Truck Driver Appreciation Week has provided an opportunity for the trucking industry and the broader public to recognize and celebrate the important work that truck drivers do—and their work is more vital than ever. The American Trucking Association estimates that trucks—and their 3.6 million drivers nationwide—move more than 70 percent of the United States’ freight every year. Over the last few years, many Americans have realized what we at TMC have always known: without truck drivers, our nation simply couldn’t function. 

TMC’s drivers are the heart of our company, and their hard work is the backbone of everything we’ve been able to accomplish over the last 50-plus years. That’s why we’re so excited to take this opportunity to say thank you to all of them. 

Each TMC location will be hosting special activities during the week to celebrate our incredible drivers. Festivities will include truck-backing and cleaning contests to give office workers a taste of life behind the wheel, giveaways for drivers, and food trucks at lunchtime.  

Above all, Driver Appreciation week is a chance to acknowledge the hard work drivers do every day of the year and say a heartfelt thank you.
