RecruitMilitary Names TMC Transportation Most Valuable Employer 2017
RecruitMilitary, the national leader in helping employers connect with high-quality Veteran talent, recently announced the winners for the 2017 Most Valuable Employers (MVE) for Military. The MVE recognition serves to help military-experienced job seekers identify the top employers to target for civilian careers. MVEs are selected annually based on employers whose recruiting, training, and retention plans best serve military service members and Veterans. The award marks it's ninth edition in 2017.
“We are honored to be named a Most Valuable Employer for Military for the fifth consecutive year. At TMC, our company culture is a natural fit for Veterans getting out of the military. We often hear from them how our structure and pride reminds them of their military experience,” says Cheryl Freauff, Vice President of Driver Recruiting for TMC.
“Our nation's heroes have been trained to work efficiently under pressure. Veterans can quickly adapt to change and technology advances as well as honor integrity. These skills translate to what we value at TMC. With the trucking industry being crucial to our nation’s economy, we find an importance in hiring military Veterans because they possess leadership and respect for doing their job safely and correctly,” Freauff explains. “In fact, over 35% of our employees are Veterans. They have all have played a major role in helping us become one of the largest employee-owned open deck transportation companies who provide expert transportation services and supply-chain management solutions throughout the 48 contiguous states."
“Veterans truly represent the finest talent our country has to offer,” said Peter Gudmundsson, President of RecruitMilitary. “Judging by the stature of the businesses that comprise the Most Valuable Employers for Military winners, we can see that organizations thrive when they include Veteran-hiring initiatives in their human resource strategies.”
The 2017 Most Valuable Employers (MVE) for Military was open to all U.S.-based companies. In observance of Armed Forces Day, the annual list of MVEs will be released in the May/June issue of RecruitMilitary’s Search & Employ® magazine.
