Special Olympics Convoy 2015

We would like to extend a thank you to the 10 drivers and their families who represented TMC at the Special Olympics Convoy this weekend.  The drivers who participated spent hours on Friday detailing and polishing their trucks to give us the best looking fleet in the convoy.

Saturday morning started early with coffee and donuts for everyone provided by TMC’s Recruiting Department at the registration.  After a Driver Safety briefing by the Iowa DOT, the first three positions in the convoy were auctioned off.  Our own Steven Sopata had the winning bid for the third position in the convoy.  Ninety-eight vehicles participated in the convoy this year.  It was a very exciting sight to see all ninety-eight rolling down the road together. 

This year we had the honor of having a Special Olympics athlete ride with our driver, Joe Kennedy.  Cody had an amazing time riding in the truck, smiling and waving at everyone.  He and his family also sat with our group at the lunch and awards presentation at the fairgrounds.
