TMC Driver Makes Donation to Local Charity

Driver Appreciation Week is a time to celebrate our drivers. The week included giving out hundreds of gifts and prizes to drivers as a “thank you” for what they do every day. The winner of a 55’ TV was, Thomas Overall. Thomas decided to donate the TV to a local charity in lieu of his prize.

Thomas, who lives in Huntsville, Alabama explained that he would rather donate the TV to a charity that would get more use out of it than him. Thomas made one request, “Please have the TV donated on behalf of all TMC drivers.” With that, the TV was donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Iowa. TMC is thankful to have a fleet of compassionate drivers such as Thomas.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Iowa offer a place to call home at little to no cost, so that families can stay together. With two house locations, one inside MercyOne Children's Hospital and one near Blank Children's Hospital families are only steps away from their critically ill children. The Ronald McDonald house hopes to use the donation to provide comfort for ill children and their families.
